I Started learning photography in retirement as a hobby and to keep my creative mind, body and soul active while doing something I really enjoy. Having always had a love for photography both colour, black and white and sepia though i had never thought of or knew about the extraordinary genre of Macro and Micro photography until recently.
Taking photographs in raw and jpeg formats using a Nikon D5100 and Nikon J1 connected to my two microscopes a midrange stereo and a vintage Vickers M15 compound variety.
Macro lenses I have acquired to experiment with initially are a darkroom lens, el nikor 50mm 2.8 and a microscope objective 4.0 flat field lens from Amscope.com on recommendation from --Alan Walls--Photography----------
Other Equipment i have acquired hunting down bits and pieces that can be utilised in macro and other photography hobbies include bellows, filters, sliding macro/close-up Rack, led lights, colour gels, tracing paper, blackout blinds, ball head, tripod and a Nikon flash 700 model.
